π Celebrating our Year 10 graduates! π
Recently, the college celebrated the graduation of 21 students in year 10 who recently completed the Youth Opportunities 9-week Personal Leadership Program.
Our students showed tremendous courage as they took the stage and shared their personal journeys, including the challenges they faced and how they overcame these to achieve their goals. We are incredibly proud of their growth, resilience and willingness to step outside their comfort zones.
ππ Congratulations to all of our graduates on this wonderful achievement, and thank you to the Youth Opportunities team for their ongoing support and partnership with our school.
π FINAL DAY OF TERM 3! π
Today is the final day of Term 3, with an early dismissal of 1.30pm.
Please remember there will be no break on the day. Students in Years 7β10 will return to their Care Group for the final 10 minutes of the day, while Years 11β12 will remain in their classes before dismissal.
We would like to wish all of our students, families and staff a safe and happy holiday break! π
Enjoy the break, take some time to recharge, and we look forward to seeing all of our students back for the final term of 2026.

To raise awareness around bullying and the harm it can cause, as part of Bullying No Way week, student leaders hosted a BBQ to support students to connect with the school community to share words of positivity and encouragement. Thank you to our incredible Centacare team for supporting this highly successful event.
The college also hosted the Dolly`s Dream Foundation who presented to students from Year 7 - 10 around the impact of bullying. Sharing the message `Speak even if your voice shakes`. These presentations were incredibly insightful and a great opportunity for students to think about how they can be an upstander even with small actions.
Thanks also to the Whyalla City Council and the organisers of the Mental Health Matters Round, who coordinated a presentation by Speak and Share. Our Year 7 and 8 students engaged in a session centred around mental health and how to check in with those they care about.

Our CHAT Camp students are now on their way home from Adelaide! π
Families can expect students to arrive back in Whyalla later today. We hope everyone has had a fantastic time and made some great memories! π

π PUBLIC EDUCATION AWARDS π
We are excited to share another nomination for the Public Education Awards!
Congratulations to the Spencer Gulf team on their Inclusive Practices in Education Award Nomination. The Spencer Gulf Inclusive Education Centre is a modern, engaging and safe learning place within the college, allowing students with diverse needs to access education and support with their learning.
The team are extremely dedicated to what they do and are very deserving of this nomination. Congratulations!
π Year 12 Holiday Support Classes π
Year 12 students β youβre almost at the finish line!
A number of teachers will be offering holiday classes during the Term 3 break to help you catch up, get support and stay on track for SACE completion.
These sessions are a great chance to:

catch up on outstanding work

get help from your teachers

make progress on assessments
β
reduce pressure before the final 3 weeks of Term 4
