Governance

Governing Council Committee

The role of a Governing Council member is to provide advice to the Principal with the goal of strengthening and supporting education in the community. Governing Council meetings are held twice a term.

Parent participation is an important factor in community building and of tremendous benefit to the educational outcomes and welfare of our students. As a parent/caregiver, you can assist with this by becoming a member of Governing Council (GC) and/or one of its subcommittees.

Our volunteers are valued and have the opportunity to provide positive examples to our students through their contribution to the school.

Whyalla Secondary College is proud to announce our GC committee. It is great to have such a large and diverse group of members on our Governing Council. WSC is very grateful for the input and support in the running and management of the college.
