The house competition at Whyalla Secondary College is in full swing! Lowly continues to lead the charge with an impressive 3,483 points. Wetlands edges into second place with 2,974 points, followed closely by Bonython on 2,929 points. Fitzgerald is making steady progress with 2,509 points—great effort from all houses! 💪

🏀 Massive Turnout for Clontarf Academy Training! 💪
We are thrilled to share that 43 young athletes came together for a dynamic Clontarf Academy training session here at Whyalla Secondary College! 🙌
With support from amazing partners like BMD and Coates Hire, the day was packed with team-building games like dodgeball, bomb ball, basketball, soccer and touch football — all aimed at building skills, friendships and confidence. ⚽🏐🏀
After the sweat came the smiles with a hearty bacon & eggs breakfast and an inspiring speech from one of our very own year 12 students. 🍳👏
The Clontarf approach goes beyond sport — it’s about community, culture and leadership. We’re proud to host and support these incredible young men on their journey.

🔒 Atrium Access Update 🔒
From 9:00am to 3:30pm, the front sliding doors and side gates to the Atrium will be locked to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
⏰ If your student arrives late, they will need to enter via the doors at the back of the Atrium.

💙 Do It For Dolly Day at Whyalla Secondary College 💙
Last Friday, our school community came together to celebrate Do It For Dolly Day—a day dedicated to kindness, compassion, and standing up against bullying.
🥞The morning began with blue pancakes at Breakfast Club, bringing students and staff together to kick off the day with a smile.
🦋 Throughout the day, our care groups created a beautiful Wall of Blue Butterflies, each one carrying motivational words and messages of how we can spread kindness in our school and beyond.
Together, we honour Dolly’s legacy and continue to promote a culture where every voice matters and kindness leads the way.

👏 Clontarf Seniors Inspired by Site Visit!
Our senior Clontarf Academy members had a great day out visiting a local worksite, thanks to Jason ‘Bubba’ Brodie from BMD. During their visit they gained a genuine insight into the industry — from bacon & eggs at smoko 🍳 to hearing inspiring career stories from staff at BMD, Enerven, Walga and Zancott.
